Office progressives, also called computer progressives, are a specialty lens design that optical boutiques have offered only with a prescription. They focus from reading distance to the edge of the room and stop there, so the view across your screen is wide and comfortable. EV6™ and EV20™ bring that design to you without a prescription. EV6 gives you the most comfortable view we make from your phone to your computer and around your workspace, 18 inches to 6 feet. EV20 reaches 20 feet. You order your reading power, or choose Custom Rx.

Office progressives were designed for people who spend the day at a desk. The lens stops at the edge of the room. The distance it leaves out comes back to you as a wide, comfortable view of your phone, your keyboard and your screen. Getting a pair has usually meant an eye exam and a prescription order through an optical shop.
EV6 and EV20 are built on the same idea. We digitally surface them to your measurements in California. You order them in the reading power you already use. With EV6 you get the most comfortable view we make from your phone to your computer, in a lens that used to need a prescription.

Which one
EV6 or EV20
Choose EV6 if your day is mostly a phone, a keyboard and a monitor, with a colleague across the desk. It has the widest corridor we make.
Choose EV20 if you get up from the desk for meetings, walk the office or want to see the far side of a conference room. It trades a little width for the extra reach.

We make them in about two weeks
We digitally surface, coat and edge the lenses in California. Shipping is free and takes about three days.

Digitally surfaced
The curves for your power are cut into a single lens blank by computer-guided equipment, accurate to a hundredth of a diopter.
A full stack of coatings
An anti-reflective layer stops the bounce-back glare. Oleophobic and hydrophobic layers keep fingerprints and water from sticking. A hard coat protects against scratches.
Edged for your frame
A multi-axis edger cuts each lens so the power sits exactly in front of your pupils in the frame you chose. We inspect the lens at every stage. If we find a blemish, we start over with a fresh blank.

What are office progressive lenses?
Progressive lenses made for indoor distances: reading at the bottom, the screen in the middle, the room at the top. They stop short of the horizon, so their corridor is wider.
Can I get office progressives without a prescription?
Yes. EV6 and EV20 are ordered in a reading power from +1.00 to +2.75. If you wear prescription glasses, choose Custom Rx and we make them to your prescription.
What are the best progressive lenses for computer work?
A lens whose range stops near your desk. EV6 runs from 18 inches to 6 feet with the widest corridor we make.
Are computer progressives the same as office progressives?
Yes. Both names mean a progressive lens made for indoor working distances. EV6 and EV20 are our versions, ordered in a reading power, or with Custom Rx if you wear prescription glasses.
Which reading power should I order?
Order the power you’d use to read a book or your phone up close. That full power sits at the bottom of the lens. The lens eases it down for your screen and the room. If you already wear drugstore readers, their number is your starting point. Which power to order walks through it.
What if they aren’t right for me?
You have 30 days from delivery to return them for a full refund, with a prepaid label. Within 60 days we’ll remake the lenses at no charge if the power or measurements need adjusting, or exchange them for a different frame style, color or lens option. Start any of these through the contact form.
