Reach and width are connected in any lens that focuses at more than one distance. The difference is that we ask which one you want first, and build to your answer.

Now you get to choose.
A standard progressive reader runs all the way out to the horizon whether you asked for it or not, and reaching that far takes the narrowest lane there is. You get to say how far you need instead.

The distance you don’t need comes back as width.
If you’re at a desk you don’t need to see across the parking lot. Give that up and it returns as a wider corridor exactly where you’re looking. That’s EV6.

This is the difference, photographed.
Left is a standard progressive. The dashed outline is its corridor, the clear lane through the lens: a thin channel you have to aim your head down to find, with the monitor and the keyboard falling outside it.
Right is EV6. Same desk, same distance, nearly the whole lens usable, because it was never asked to reach past six feet. Everything it did not send down the road came back as width.
Both lenses made a trade. Only one of them asked you first.

The one exception
Outside, you want the whole distance.
Down at your phone, up at the road, out to the far end of the trail. That’s the one place worth keeping every inch of range, and it’s exactly why EVinfinity has the narrowest lane we make. Nothing is left over to come back as width.
Which is the point of asking. Indoors you get that width back. Outdoors you would rather have the distance.
